You want salt. Flavor!

This post is about some of my favorite flavorful no-salt recipes.   I don’t mean to demonize salt.  It’s important to get enough salt, and as with most things, it’s all about getting the right balance.  There are two reasons I have so much focus on seeking ways to get plenty of flavor into a dish without tons of salt.  For one, I love all kinds of flavor, and if there is salt in a dish, I like the salt to play a supporting role.  In many of my recipes I list salt as optional because the recipe has plenty of other flavors.  The second reason that I have so much focus on seeking ways to get plenty of flavor into a dish without tons of salt is that it’s easy to find ways to eat salty foods.  There is more creativity, adventure and fun in creating low salt options.  Here are some recipes I specifically developed to be made with with no salt.
